Location.location, location all can I say. It is the only good place to stay in this small but charming seaside village.
Didn't have a dinner meal option on site. However a good reastaurant was only 200 meters away.

The included breakfast was quite good with the standard choices of bread, cereal, yogurt, cheese, meats, hard boiled eggs in addition to a waffle making station. The location is great as it is set right off the main road (1) but still quiet and walking distance to the town.
No internet access in the cottage which I wasn't aware of as the website said the hotel has wireless internet access. The wall to the adjoining room was thin as we could hear their TV and phone ringing.

Hotel Edda Vík exactly suited the beautiful Vík surrounds. I stayed in one of the cabins and although a little on the small side for more than one person it was very comfortable. Everything worked, the shower was hot and the heater really packed a punch, which is vital in that area, and the bed was very cosy. Breakfast was served in the main part of the hotel and provided me with all the energy I needed to hike the deceptively steep and high mountain directly behind my cabin. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were up for a chat even though they were very busy. And rather than mock my honest attempt to pronounce Icelandic phrases they gave me pointers to say them better! I will return.

The hotel was very attractive and up to date. The nicest we´ve stayed in (we came at a slightly less busy time and were given an upgrade from the cabins to the main hotel, which was nicer). The breakfast was very good

We stayed in a summer cottage. It was cute & quaint, very comfortable & clean. The front desk staff was so friendly & accommodating. I would recommend the Hotel Edda Vik to anyone traveling in southern Iceland.

Good location, on route 1, very clean, all rooms have private bathrooms, which is quite rare in Iceland. New hotel, good breakfast.
The price was quite high for this kind of hotel.

Rooms were clean, staff friendly and breakfast good. Location is quite perfect as the beautiful black beaches are within convenient walking distance.
You'd rather want to arrive not too late because the restaurant opposite the hotel closes at 22:00 and you might be left hungry. Very few to no alternatives at all.

we were in the economy rooms which i loved because yet again they were a little unusually not stuck in a big hotel.
the bathrooms a little small for bigger people.
